Introduction The City of Tempe is Arizona’s seventh largest city and is located in the center of the Valley of the Sun. The community was named after the Greek Vale of Tempe. It is bordered by Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa and Chandler. Tempe is the headquarters and the executive office of the US Airways. It is also the main campus of Arizona State University.
