Arizona : Demographics

With a population of 5,456,453 in 2002, an increase of 6.4 % since 2000, Arizona is ranked 19th in the US. The largest population are Catholics with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) constituting the 2nd-largest Christian denomination with 251,974 adherents in 643 congregations. Other major Christian population include people of the Southern Baptist Convention and the United Methodist Church. Arizona also has a fair number of Jewish and Muslim population as well.
